The SpecBikeTechnics FAT E is a customizable electric full-suspension recumbent trike designed for riding on paved roads, gravel, compacted dirt and soft surfaces. Its wide tires, electric assistance and independent suspension help provide a stable and controlled riding experience in changing terrain conditions. The standard wheel configuration combines two 20 × 4-inch front wheels with one 26 × 4-inch rear wheel. The FAT E is equipped with an electric-assist system that supports the rider while pedalling. Different assistance levels allow the rider to adapt the amount of support to the terrain, riding conditions and desired effort. The exact motor, battery, display and drivetrain configuration can be selected according to the rider’s requirements. The two 20 × 4-inch front tires and 26 × 4-inch rear tire provide a larger contact area than standard bicycle tires. This can improve traction and stability on gravel, compacted dirt, sand and snow. Actual riding performance depends on tire pressure, rider weight, surface conditions and the selected electric-assistance level. All three wheels are independently suspended, helping to improve comfort, wheel contact and stability on uneven surfaces. Adjustable shock absorbers allow the suspension stiffness to be adapted to the rider, luggage and terrain. The FAT E is equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. The front braking system also includes a parking brake for additional convenience when stopping or parking the trike. The SpecBikeTechnics fiberglass seat features an adjustable backrest and headrest. The seating position can be changed from a lower, sport-oriented position to a more upright touring position. The recumbent seating position supports the rider’s back and helps reduce pressure on the hands and wrists during longer rides. The steering geometry is designed to provide precise and predictable handling. The low center of gravity, wide tires and independent suspension contribute to stability on different surfaces. The FAT E combines electric assistance with a mechanical bicycle drivetrain, allowing the rider to select a suitable gear for the terrain and riding conditions. The distance between the seat and pedals can be adjusted for riders of different heights. Protective chain tubes help keep clothing away from the moving chain.
