The SpecBikeTechnics COMFORT 3×20 is a customizable folding recumbent trike with independent suspension on all three wheels. Its compact wheel configuration, adjustable seat and low center of gravity provide a stable and controlled ride on paved roads, gravel paths and uneven surfaces. Unlike the standard COMFORT configuration, this model uses three 20-inch wheels and is supplied with a folding frame as standard. The COMFORT 3×20 uses the same 20-inch wheel size at the front and rear. This makes it possible to use the same tire and inner tube size for all three wheels, simplifying the selection and storage of spare parts. The three-wheel configuration also contributes to a more compact overall layout. The folding frame makes the COMFORT 3×20 easier to store and transport. The frame is manufactured from S235JR steel, TIG-welded and protected with a durable powder-coated finish. Custom RAL colors are available. All three wheels are independently suspended, helping to improve riding comfort, wheel contact and stability on uneven surfaces. Adjustable shock absorbers allow the suspension stiffness to be adapted to the rider, luggage and road conditions. The COMFORT 3×20 is equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. The front braking system also includes a parking brake for additional convenience when stopping or parking the trike. Standard bicycle wheel sizes make it easier to select suitable tires for different riding conditions. The SpecBikeTechnics fiberglass seat features an adjustable backrest and headrest. The seating position can be changed from a lower, sport-oriented position to a more upright touring position. The recumbent seating position supports the rider’s back and helps reduce pressure on the hands and wrists during longer rides. The steering geometry is designed to provide precise and predictable handling. The low center of gravity and independent suspension contribute to stability when cornering and riding on uneven roads. The standard COMFORT 3×20 configuration uses a Shimano Alfine 8-speed internal gear hub. The enclosed hub system requires less exposed drivetrain hardware and provides a practical gear range for everyday riding and touring. The distance between the seat and pedals can be adjusted for riders of different heights. Protective chain tubes help keep clothing away from the moving chain. Each COMFORT 3×20 folding recumbent trike can be configured according to the rider’s requirements.
