The SpecBikeTechnics ROAD is a customizable two-wheeled recumbent bicycle designed for paved roads, daily rides and longer touring journeys. Its rigid frame and non-suspension construction provide direct road feedback, predictable handling and a total weight of approximately 16 kg.
The ROAD features two 26-inch wheels, Shimano mechanical disc brakes and a 3×9-speed drivetrain with 27 gear combinations. The adjustable recumbent seat and distance between the seat and pedals allow the riding position to be adapted to the rider.
Protective chain tubes help keep clothing away from the moving chain. A rear carrier with a maximum load of 20 kg provides practical luggage capacity, while the frame supports a maximum rider weight of 150 kg.
Rigid Frame and Direct Handling
The ROAD uses a rigid frame without front or rear suspension. This simpler construction reduces weight and provides direct feedback from the road, making the bicycle particularly suitable for paved surfaces and touring routes.
26-Inch Wheels
The bicycle is equipped with matching 26-inch front and rear wheels. Standard bicycle wheel sizes make it easier to select suitable tires and carry matching spare inner tubes during longer journeys.
Mechanical Disc Brakes
Shimano mechanical disc brakes are installed on the front and rear wheels, providing controlled braking without the additional maintenance requirements of a hydraulic system.
27-Speed Drivetrain
The ROAD is equipped with a Shimano 3×9-speed drivetrain, providing 27 gear combinations for level roads, climbing and longer touring routes.
Adjustable Recumbent Seat
The SpecBikeTechnics fiberglass seat features a soft seat mat and an adjustable riding position. The distance between the seat and pedals can be adapted to the rider, while protective chain tubes help keep clothing away from the moving chain.
Rear Carrier for Touring
The standard configuration includes a rear carrier with a maximum load of 20 kg, providing practical luggage capacity for commuting and longer journeys.
