The SpecBikeTechnics EXTRIM is a customizable full-suspension recumbent bicycle designed for touring, paved roads and mixed riding surfaces. Its recumbent seating position, two 29-inch wheels and front and rear suspension provide a comfortable and controlled riding experience on longer journeys.
The EXTRIM features a RockShox Solo Air front suspension fork with 100 mm travel and a RockShox rear air shock. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are installed on both wheels, while the 3×9-speed Shimano drivetrain provides 27 gear combinations for level roads and climbing.
An adjustable fiberglass seat, adjustable headrest, protective chain tubes and front and rear mudguards support practical everyday and touring use. The riding position can be adapted for riders approximately 1.40–2.20 m tall, with a maximum rider weight of 120 kg.
Full-Suspension System
The EXTRIM combines a RockShox Solo Air front suspension fork with 100 mm travel and a RockShox rear air shock measuring 165 × 38 mm. The suspension helps absorb road vibrations and improves comfort on uneven surfaces.
29-Inch Wheels
Two 29-inch wheels help the bicycle maintain speed on paved roads while providing improved rollover capability on gravel and uneven surfaces. Standard bicycle wheel sizes also make it easier to select suitable tires for different riding conditions.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are installed on the front and rear wheels. The system uses 160 mm Shimano CENTER LOCK brake rotors for consistent and controlled braking.
Adjustable Recumbent Seat
The SpecBikeTechnics fiberglass seat features a soft seat mat and an adjustable headrest. The recumbent seating position supports the rider’s back and helps reduce pressure on the hands and wrists during longer rides.
27-Speed Shimano Drivetrain
The EXTRIM is equipped with a 3×9-speed Shimano drivetrain, providing 27 gear combinations for different gradients and riding conditions. Protective chain tubes help keep clothing away from the moving chain.
Touring and Luggage Options
Front and rear mudguards are included in the listed configuration. An additional rear carrier and other luggage solutions are available for touring and longer journeys.
